Eagles vs. Warriors at the Staples Center
A once-in-a-lifetime golden opportunity shone its way into the Lancaster Baptist High School varsity basketball program this past Monday, November 2. The varsity teams had an opportunity to play at one of the most recognized professional basketball areas in the country, the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Students and parents alike turned out for this historical event.
The LBS Eagles played the Spirit Academy Warriors at 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM preceding a Clippers game. Both the guys and girls teams had excellent testimonies for the Lord and solid games, also covered on the front page of the sports section in the Antelope Valley Press newspaper. The Eagle men beat the Warriors 55-30, while the ladies narrowed an early wide gap, finishing close behind at 48-40.
The Eagles basketball teams thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the opportunity was greatly appreciated by the students and parents. This was a great way to kick-off our basketball season, and we look forward with much enthusiasm to a fruitful season for the Lancaster Baptist High School Eagles!
