Homecoming 2009

Football, hot dogs, bright lights, and the sounds of a marching band—Homecoming 2009 included all of this and much more. Perfect autumn weather favored the players and spectators, making for a noteworthy evening under the bright Friday night lights. With a winning score of 33-8, the Lancaster Baptist School Eagles thoroughly enjoyed each moment of their homecoming game. Playing the Kuyper Admirals, the Eagles made each second count and finished off this great night with a solid victory.

Following half-time tradition, the homecoming court was presented, and Miss Hillarie Shannon was crowned Homecoming Queen. We also recognized our Alumni and praised the Lord that this year the LBHS will have over 300 graduates!

Another highlight of the evening was the advent of the Eagles marching band. Under the guiding baton of Brother Daniel Hopkins, the band played the “National Anthem” before the game and played throughout the game as well. At half-time they took the field for the first time and did a great job. The LBHS Eagle band will also be marching at the Veterans Day Parade in downtown Lancaster on November 7. Come support the students and show your appreciation for our veterans on this special day. GO EAGLES!
