After much prayer and due diligence, the school administration has determined the Eagles should expand its sports program by joining the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). Lancaster Baptist High School made application last school year and now has been approved as an official member of the Southern Section of CIF athletics as a freelance school. This sports league expansion is on a trial basis. While we are excited about the many opportunities now available for our sports program, we also must be optimistically cautious in this new arena. Please pray that our teams will be the salt and light that the Lord desires them to be as we compete with a variety of schools in the southern section. This fall in CIF we will have Varsity and JV tackle football (8 man) and girls volleyball, in the winter we will have guys and girls basketball, and in the spring we will have varsity baseball and track & field. May this expansion help our students develop a greater heart for God and produce stronger Christian character in each of their lives.
