Veteran's Day Parade
On Saturday, November 7, the Lancaster Baptist School marching band celebrated Veteran’s Day a little bit differently than in years past. Along with the LBS honor guard and cheerleaders, the students participated in the Lancaster Veteran’s Day Parade for the first time ever this year. Playing a variety of patriotic songs, the marching band was in the first third of the parade, in which over a hundred entries marched, drove, or strolled in honor of American veterans past and present.
LBS also had a number of high school student volunteer their time to help the committee chairman with the parade that day. What a blessing it was to honor those that sacrificed and gave their all for our liberty, freedoms, and way of life. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13 We honor those who served and especially those who gave their “last full measure of devotion” for our country–they truly are our American Hero’s!
